The Independent School League (ISL) is thrilled to announce the appointment of Bobbie Crump-Burbank as its first Executive Secretary. A longtime member of the ISL community, having served as Director of Athletics at Brooks School, a fellow ISL member, Bobbie brings a wealth of experience and expertise to this critical role.

With a proven track record in leadership, sports administration, and fostering positive relationships, Bobbie is uniquely qualified to guide the ISL into a new era of growth and success. Her dedication to education, athletics, and student development is evident in her impressive career spanning over four decades.

During her tenure at Brooks School, Bobbie demonstrated exceptional leadership skills, overseeing all afternoon programs and ensuring their viability and engagement. She developed strategic plans to enhance student participation, cultivated positive relationships with coaches, athletes, and parents, and successfully navigated the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Beyond her athletic accomplishments, Bobbie's expertise in program development and management has been instrumental in building successful initiatives at Brooks School. Her twenty year tenure as Brooks School Director of Summer Programs demonstrates her ability to create and implement innovative programs that cater to a diverse range of interests, which has been a hallmark of her career.

Bobbie's commitment to holistic student development is evident in her diverse experience, which includes teaching Spanish, Health, and Physical Education, as well as coaching a variety of sports. Her ability to foster a positive and inclusive learning environment is a testament to her dedication.

In her new role as Executive Secretary, Bobbie will be responsible for representing the ISL in all outward-facing ways, coordinating the league policies and procedures, promoting positive publicity, advocating for fair practices, and fostering collaborative relationships within the league and with external organizations.

Tony Jaccaci, Head of School at Tabor Academy and one of the members of the Executive Secretary search committee, said this of Bobbie and her appointment:  “We were excited to develop this position to support our league and Bobbie has been the perfect person from the start.  We had some great candidates in the process, but Bobbie rose to top with her vast experience in athletics and the ISL, vision for the position and league, and her general warmth and approachability.  In the first months of the job, she has done a fantastic job in her role and it's hard, already, to imagine our league without her help and support!”

"We are thrilled to welcome Bobbie back to the ISL family," said Bob Pipe, Athletic Director of St. George's School and ISL President. "Her exceptional leadership, combined with her deep understanding of the ISL community, make her the perfect candidate to take the league to the next level. I am confident that under Bobbie's guidance, the ISL will continue to thrive and set new standards for excellence in high school athletics."

Please join us in congratulating Bobbie on her new role and wishing her continued success.
