Dewey Jarvis Honored as Scholar-Athlete with Selection to National Football Foundation Hall of Fame 5/14/2013 Sixth Former Dewey Jarvis was recently honored with a prestigious Scholar-Athlete Award from the Jack Grinold Eastern Massachusetts Chapter of the National Football Foundation. Those selected come from over 200 parochial, private, and public schools, and were picked by a committee of college admission directors, secondary school athletic directors and coaches, and members of the media. Jarvis, who will attend Brown University in the fall, had a stellar career at Belmont Hill as a linebacker, wide receiver, and tight end. He was All-League First Team, All New England Class B First Team, and a team MVP. Coach Chris Butler states that Jarvis excelled in all aspects of student life, as a gifted student, athlete, and musician. |
